RAGDOLL
CAT
Developed in California in the 1960s, the
overall impression given by a Ragdoll is that of a large, powerful, imposing
cat, distinctively marked and striking in appearance with vivid eyes. They are
famous for their relaxed temperament, being gentle and easy to handle. Ragdolls
come in four colours - seal, blue, chocolate and lilac - and three patterns:
colourpoint, mitted and bicolour
which includes white patterning. Grooming a Ragdoll's silky coat is easy and
should be carried out weekly. Few breeds combine beauty and mild manners to such
an extent, and they make wonderful companions to young and old alike. As from 1st June 2001 Ragdolls may compete for Championship titles at GCCF
licensed championship shows.
